The city is conveniently located near the San Tan Mountain Regional Park which offers you some of the most breathtaking and expansive vistas of the Sonoran Desert. The park spans a whopping 10,000 acres of land and it offers several scenic mountain views for visitors. The trails are open to hikers, bikers, and horseback riders. Perhaps you are also interested in learning how olive oil is made. The Queen Creek Olive Mill offers you an educational experience on olive production and even allows you to taste them. Several prominent television networks have featured and showcased the olive mill, including the Food Network, The Cooking Channel, and The Discovery Channel. Nearby Schnepf Farms is another excellent place to visit with your entire family. The family-owned farm has been in business for more than 75 years and it’s the largest grower of organic peaches throughout the state of Arizona. You can visit the orchards for a day of picking peaches during the months of September through early July. The farm also holds several special events throughout the year that attract visitors from all over the region.
